Welcome

Deep Listening is an approach I've evolved that enables people to engage more meaningfully and truly understand others. It's guided by curiosity, empathy and respect. My goal is to help create a world where Deep Listening is widely embraced and practiced, that recognises people’s right to be truly heard.
I work with leaders to enhance their effectiveness and foster an open empowering environment in their organisations and beyond. I collaborate with communities where Deep Listening is needed most, facing pressures from polarisation and social fractures.

The Deep Listening approach has been demonstrated to establish deeper connections where people feel safe to express themselves and genuinely understood, even if they profoundly disagree.
HarperCollins has published my book on Deep Listening, UK May 2025, US June 2025. The book has been named FT top business books to read this month, featured in McKinsey Talks, Next Big Idea Book Club, MSNBC, CNBC, Forbes, The Big Issue, BigThink, PublishersWeekly, the Reuters Institute for the study of Journalism, the New Statesman, and the Church Times. I’ve spoken extensively about the book on BBC Radio 4 Woman’s Hour, The World on US public radio, to students at Columbia University and Vassar College, the Obama Fellows, teams at the Atlantic Council and the Ford Foundation. Korean and Portuguese translations will be published in 2026.
